To promote sustainable engineering solutions that will improve the quality of life and will empower the community members.

 

To enrich the professional perception of engineers, Doctors, Scientists, Architectures and Educators, and to broaden their theoretical training with hands-on experience.

Our Way

 

• We believe in the partnership between EWB and the community as a basis for every working process.

• We work to have a full and continues involvement of the community members in the process, starting the decision to work together, through every decision along the way and up after the implementation. This is the only way we will ensure a true acquaintance between the partners, understanding of the needs and to the decision of a suitable solution. The communities’ support and involvement will create their commitment to the process product and its maintenance.

• We believe in long term partnerships. This way a monitoring process can be done, and this will ensure that the community will have the ability to preserve and develop the process.

• We work within the framework of groups made up of students, academic staff and professionals in order to enrich our work.

• We work with a local organization in order to have a better understanding of the community, to bridge the cultural gaps and to have an “on ground” representative.

• Each partnership goes along with a training and education program. This program will ensure understanding, assimilation and an effective use of the product. This process will have elements in the volunteers working process as well.
